Up&Up

Coldplay’s music video for their song Up&Up features stunning visual effects. A lot of the composite footage combined objects that shared shapes, colors, or textures, even though their sizes or contexts weren’t quite as similar. The video also played with dichotomies such as up vs. down, ground vs. sky, and nature vs. urban landscapes. I think that instead of creating disharmony, all of these differences created very visually appealing and intriguing scenes.
