Graphic Design at the Oscars

During the Oscars this past weekend, there was a mix-up where La La Land was accidentally declared winner for Best Picture when it was actually supposed to be Moonlight. This was due to the fact that the presenter had the wrong card and got confused. According to one graphic designer, this problem could easily be fixed by slightly changing the fonts and layout. I thought this was really interesting because it shows the importance of graphic design as a form of clear communication. Here is an article explaining the changes he made and why they were important: https://www.fastcodesign.com/3068570/typography-ruined-the-oscars-biggest-moment-this-guy-fixed-it
