Robert Lang used to be a NASA engineer who studied physics and lasers, but he always had a passion for origami. He quit his job at NASA in order to pursue origami, and now he makes beautiful creations out of paper. I think it’s really interesting how he can apply techniques of origami to engineering (when designing an airbag that folds, for example), and how he can apply principles of engineering to origami (making precise mathematical calculations and treating origami as a problem to be solved).
