In the fall of 2016, Korean graffiti artist Chris Chanyang Shin started receiving international internet attention for his murals of African American women in traditional Korean hanbok. he has traveled the world creating these murals, one of the latest spots as of October 2016 being in San Francisco. He has also painted other murals of African American icons such as Tupac Shakur and President Obama.
