Guggenheim Museum Bilbao

My roommate took an architecture class, and the other day she showed me a picture of this building, which is a museum in Spain. I thought it was really interesting because it had so many curves and organic shapes, but it’s also very sturdy and large. The shape of it reminded me of some of the paper origami we were looking at in class, because a lot of the curves on the building look as though they could be made out of bent paper. I think this is a really interesting architectural technique, and it’s really cool to see how the kind of art that we can make with paper can be applied to such a large scale.
