I recently read about an artist named Bryant Chase who uses rocks, driftwood, and other objects he finds in nature and turns them into intricate pieces of public art. I thought his pieces were really interesting because they were taking something natural and creating very unnatural positions, like the precariously balanced sculpture shown in this picture. I thought this was a really cool example of public art made from very limited resources, and it would definitely be surprising to anyone who might walk by and see it.
