A Dig at FedEx?

The artist Walead Beshty shipped glass boxes through FedEx, creating these shattered sculptures. It seems that shattering glass is a common motif in art, possibly because there’s something very mesmerizing about the intricacy of the pattern and its stark contrast to the prior smoothness of the glass surface. All said, I think this piece is also entertaining because it could be construed as a jab at the safety of packages that are shipped by FedEx.
