Director and animator Kirsten Lapore, known for her stop-motion animation on shows such as Adventure Time and Yo Gabba Gabba, has released a new stop-motioned animated short film titled “Hi Stranger.”
This film features a doughy protagonist who monologues about how much they enjoy spending time with the viewer. Its commentary is supplanted with striking visual environments (including a sunset and an ocean).
Although it has only been on YouTube for under a week, “Hello Stranger” has reached internet stardom with over a million views and showcases on a variety of major news shows. The main draw for the video is how it instills both a sense of calm and unease at the same time.
If you have yet to do so, please check out this innovative artistic masterpiece here! (WARNING: The video contains a clay buttocks that serves as a prominent feature throughout).
